What Was the Learning Hub before
The Learning Hub was a nationally recognised provider of training services to individuals, businesses and the education community. Established in 1996 the company creates and sustains learning communities through which people and organisations can achieve their learning goals. We contribute to social inclusion and economic regeneration, increase and widen participation in training, thus enabling glass companies individuals to make a real difference in their lives.
The company was formed by Further Education Colleges in North West London to promote learning through the use of information and communication technologies. In particular our remit was to attract learners from groups who traditionally are not attracted to College provision and also to develop training for small and medium sized enterprises. We research and test cutting edge learning technologies before dissemination to the colleges.
We offer a wide range of training courses including Home and Office IT, Professional IT courses, Personal Development, Business and Management, National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Languages and Numeracy and Literacy for adults. Our courses are delivered online enabling learners to access learning from any location with an internet connection. We provide tutor support in virtual classroom settings as well as through one-to-one support.
Our learning centre in Wembley was available for learners to access their courses during the day and weekday evenings (click here for opening times). The centre is fully equipped with over 50 computer terminals connected to the internet through high speed broadband. Tutors are on-hand to support and help learners with their courses.
